Inspector Ian Cox of Norfolk Constabulary has personally thanked Regency Security Door Supervisor Simon Goldsmith for going above and beyond his role of duty.

On a Saturday night during October, an incident occurred on Prince of Wales Road Norwich, where Simon assisted the Police in diffusing a situation. The Inspector said that Simon stepped in to assist people who were in distress and was commendable in his actions.

In a letter to Simon, Inspector Cox said it was important to recognise incidents where professional SIA operatives in the night time industry put themselves at risk to assist others beyond their licensable activity.

Gary Powers Managing Director of Regency Security said, “I am extremely proud of Simon for his efforts on how he dealt with the situation and delighted that the Inspector personally thanked him for the assistance he gave to the Police and the people that evening. Well done Simon, a great advocate to the profession.”
