As the Christmas party season gets into full swing, flexibility with your security operations is key to success. With thousands of party revellers hitting the streets throughout the country between now and the New Year, bars, pubs and clubs must have their plans in order to maintain a safe working environment.

At Regency Security, we want people to have a safe and enjoyable night out. In addition, we need to make sure our security teams and client’s welfare is also looked after. We discuss Christmas plans with our customers and learn about any special events which are taking place over the festive season. These plans will then generate a formula to understand the number of SIA licensed Door Supervisors needed. In some areas, our teams are doubled, even trebled in size, which puts an enormous strain on our operations team. However, they always deliver with the support of the company’s national recruitment team based in our head office.

It’s not just Christmas where you see the number of SIA security personnel increase. Earlier this year we had World Cup fever, where many venues added extra security to their venues following the fantastic success of England reaching the semi-finals. Another area where Regency are very good at managing resources is at special events. As an example, early in the new year, we will start our recruitment drive for the Take That 30th Anniversary Tour, where we will require 200 extra security staff.

We have many workers that enjoy part-time and casual work. These workers represent the backbone of key events throughout Christmas and the annual calendar.
